Note: use of acronyms will be vetted for validity and legal usage.
Departmental Lockups must be created by university marketing and CMO. Department lockup requests are reviewed weekly.
Named colleges will be addressed individually between the Provost, Dean and CMO. Please allow for more time for these special requests.
*Independent centers and institutes may receive or be approved for custom branding if, and only if, separate branding is required to receive state or federal grant money. The circumstances and contract language must be reviewed by the Provost.

All intuitional sub-brand logos must be approved by University Marketing. Logos must adhere to university color policies and include the words “Florida State University” or the FSU wordmark. Design assistance is available.
Many things need to be considered for an institutional sub-brand logo. This process takes time to complete due diligence. University Marketing will reach out with any questions within 10 business days but the full process may take longer.
Marketplace sub-brands have significant recognition beyond Florida State University or are separate legal entities. If you believe your brand should be categorized as a marketplace sub-brand, fill out the form below.
Marketplace sub-brand logos must be registered as trademarks and include reference to Florida State University. All marks at this level must be reviewed by University Marketing and approved by Cabinet.
